Coffee lovers raise your hands...
*raises hands*
Here's some latte nail art, coz I obviously can't do actual latte art.

"But why so unfinished?"
Coz it's on purpose. Trying to keep it realistic you know :P

I did this nail art free-hand with acrylic paint. A little brown and a lotta white. Finished it ll with a matte top coat.
I was pretty happy with how the ombre nails turned out. And the matte top coat just blended it all together like magic.

here's the same mani with natural light.

And some bad photoshop for a good laugh.

Happy nails yo you!

OMG these magical nail polishes! And these amazing stamping plates!

I'm not gonna lie, I bought these by accident.
But look at the pretty outcome!

I bought mine from Bundle Monster. They have amazing designs.
I own 30 new stamping plates and 2 amazing squishy stampers.

Here's another design I tried. Not bragging, but I did get a lot of compliments for this one :P

If you want to know how to stamp, here's a demonstration from one of my older posts.

Many new designs coming up!

Happy nails to you!

Snowy pre-Chrishtmas manicure.

It's 30°C in Bombay, but I didn't mind putting on a cardigan to click some pictures with this uber cute mani! And yes, IT'S 3D!

It's completely in trend this season.

All the tutorials I saw require gel nail colours and the you have to put it under some fancy blue light and I don't know some fancy stuff.
But I found a solution for poor people like myself. :P
Here's how I did it!

Who would have thought?!

It takes 10-15 minutes to dry completely. And then you paint your base colour over the design again. Remember to use a matte top coat to make it look classy!
Easy peasy!

Your outcome should be something like this -

My reference was this old cardigan lying around my house.
It is very important to refer some images of the cable knitting so that you're sure when you're doing your design.

And my design under natural light.

Under a different light.

What do you think about this design?
Do let me know!

Happy nails to you!

Another accessory inspired nail art. And this time it is this pretty bag which I got a lotta compliments for.

I enjoy dressing up my nails too!
My kurta had such pretty Assam silk weaves. And that hand cuff though! Hats off to these artists!

Phew, so much for weekly posts. I've been quite off coz of work stress and lack of motivation. But I did manage to take some time off this week :)

68 years of freedom!
Happy Independence Day :)

Ikat, or Ikkat, is a weaving technique used to pattern fabrics. They come in many pretty designs. A characteristic of ikat prints is an apparent "blurriness" to the design.
It's getting really famous in the nail art world as well. So I decided to try on out for myself, and of course, something I hadn't seen on any nail. I went for an elaborate one. Here, it is.

I got this amazing nail polish as a gift recently. It looks beige alright, but look what the macro lens revealed. Tiny glitter particles. *Lovestruck*

Let's get back to ikat.
I did manage to get a few good shots, where you can see the blurry effect.

I picked out this design from google and just tries on different sections of it on the accent nails. for the others I just went for the conventional ikat which you'll see on most nails.

Most of my clicks are over exposed this time. Sorry, my bad. But the design is pretty clear, so I just let it go. Better clicks next time, I promise.

Happy nails to you!

Tried some intricate paisley design. Take a look!

So, I tore a ligament in my ankle. Boohoo :'(
I am bed ridden for a while. Recently, one of my very close friends and a nail art enthusiast, came to meet me. And here's what we cooked up.

FYI, a group of flamingos is called a flamboyance.
These majestic pink creatures do make a pretty manicure. God's creation (and evolution) is so amazing. Check it out! A flamboyance on my sister's nails.

An elegant mix and match design on my sister.

My sister loves simple and pretty designs. She's not as wierd as me. Lol.
We referenced a lot to get her the perfect design. And look what we came up with.

It's very elegant and pretty. A pastel colour with a dark colour, I was not too sure. But when it all came together, it looked good!

All you'll need is a big dotting tool, or the back side of a paint brush, and a thin paint brush. Whatever colour you pick for your flower, pick a lighter colour from the same family for the centre of the flower. Here's how it's done followed by the outcome.

Let me know what you think. Do give it a try!
Happy nails to you!
